Alarm systems for jewellery showrooms

High-value stock, a small team, and long hours with the shutters down. What this premises needs is detection that reaches a person while it is still happening.

Open to the public, then closed to everyone

A jewellery showroom has two lives. Through the day it is a shop: staff, customers, display cases open. For the rest of the day it is a closed building holding stock that cannot be casually replaced.

The hours when nobody is there are the hours that matter most. A camera covers them by recording them, which is worth having and is only useful once the incident is over. An alarm system covers them by acting in them: it detects, it sounds the alarm, and it tells a person.

Detect, sound the alarm, notify a person

Three steps, the same on every premises type in the range. What changes for a showroom is who has to be reached once the shutters are down.

  1. Step 1Phase 1

    Detect

Sensors watch the showroom continuously - through the trading day, and through the hours when nobody is on the premises at all.

  2. Step 2Phase 2

    Sound the alarm

The moment a sensor is triggered, the panel sounds the alarm at the showroom. The 90dB sounder and the wireless siren in the range are the parts that make the noise.

  3. Step 3Phase 3

    Notify a person

At the same time, the people you nominate are notified by SMS and phone call, so someone knows while it is still happening. A closed showroom stops being an unwatched one.

Four zones or sixteen, wired or wireless

A zone is one monitored point: a shutter, a door, a room. A four-zone panel watches four points; the largest panel in the range watches sixteen. A showroom's shutters, doors and rooms are counted up and the panel is sized to them.

Wiring is a choice rather than a constraint at both ends of the range: every panel is supplied in a wired version, a wireless version, or both, and every sensor in the range is available either way. The fifteen items and their published battery backup are listed on the sensor pages.

The full range is on the products page - three panels and fifteen sensors and accessories, with the published specification for each.

Other premises types

The range is the same for all of them. What changes is which panel and which sensors a premises needs.

Banks and ATMs

Named in the published use case for Panel Security, the intrusion-and-fire panel in the range.

Retail and commercial

Shops, showrooms and commercial premises, where an alert has to reach the owner directly.

Homes

The same panels and sensors, sized for a house rather than a factory.

Factories

Larger premises with more points to cover, where the gas, smoke and water-leak sensors matter as much as intrusion detection.

Tell us about the showroom

Call and describe the premises: the shutters, the doors, the rooms, and who should be reached when nobody is there. We will tell you which panel and which sensors suit it.

Send us the details

If you would rather write it down than call, this reaches the same team. It arrives tagged to this page, so we know which premises type you are asking about.
